The Julian Calendar The following will assist in verifying the legitimacy of some vehicle related documentation. Leap Years: When using the chart, in the case of a leap year, to calculate the day of the month, 60 will equal February 29th and for the remainder of the year, add '1' to Julian Calendar numbers of 60 and over (in the chart below) i.e.
Conversely, if you are presented a Julian calendar number of 100 for a leap year, subtract '1', to give 99, which equates to April 9th (in the chart below). Remember 2000 was NOT a leap year.
